LITTER MATES – LONG-HAIRED DACHSHUND MIXES – MALE & FEMALE- 7 YEARS OLD

These puppers are siblings that we were asked to take in when their owner was hospitalized due to rapidly failing health. Mom is a long-haired Dapple Dachshund. We were told that they are Dachshund/Maltese crosses but it really appears that there was more than one father as the dogs look quite different from each other. They were obviously loved, but sadly have been neglected as far as grooming and veterinary care. They came to us partially shaved but horribly matted on their feet, tails, and faces with the longest toenails we’ve ever seen. They were shy for grooming and vet care just because it is something they are not used to.

They’ve lived as a “pack” their whole lives but will honestly thrive once they are separated from each other. They can kind of be jerks to each other which is normal in this type of situation- it’s known as “Littermate Syndrome”.

They have lived with three big dogs and lots of cats so should do well in most situations. They are potty-trained. They aren’t thrilled to be crated but could likely learn.

All of these little doggos warm up to people quickly and are very loving and full of kisses. They are sweet pups. They don’t know how to act on leash so some patience will be required to teach them.

These cuties have been fully vetted and groomed. All are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, have had a dental and a full blood panel done to ensure that they are healthy.
