STELLA – GREAT PYRENEE – FEMALE – 3.5/4 YEARS OLD

Hi! I’m STELLA!

Look at this big beautiful girl! Stella is as sweet as they come. She is gentle with food and not possessive, great with kids, is potty trained, up to date on vaccinations and spayed. She is also a good girl for nail trims.

Stella has been around horses and goats, but not in with them. She will bark at the goats occasionally.

She takes her job of protecting her people seriously. She spends her days inside the home but at night she has been used to being outside barking to scare bad guys/critters away.

Stella doesn’t do well with small dogs or cats and would likely do best as an only dog.

Our veterinarian just adores Stella and thinks she would make a wonderful pet, rather than a livestock guardian dog. We’re thinking she would happily adjust to keeping a couch warm day and night as long as she had her people around to love on.

Stella currently weighs around 150 lbs. so is a bit on the fluffy side. She is recovering from a leg injury that is manageable with pain medication. Losing a few pounds will most likely help her heal more quickly. There is always the chance that Stella may need ACL surgery in the future but our veterinarian feels that she could heal if her activities were limited for a while to allow the injury to mend.
